The Ladner Community

Founded in 1882, Ladner is the oldest of Delta's communities. Located on rich farmland at the mouth of the Fraser River, its agriculture and fishing industries are a continuing tradition in a diverse community that is now home to 20,000 residents. Ladner Village boasts several turn-of-the-century heritage buildings, still in use. Close by is picturesque Ladner Harbour, a lively fishing port and home to many vessels of the Fraser River fleet.

Seafood is prominent on the menus of many acclaimed restaurants in historic Ladner Village. Shopping malls and unique specialty shops are conveniently located alongside local farm markets. The centrally located transit exchange with its Park-and-Ride facility provides practical links to many destinations, including express buses to downtown Vancouver.
